The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is searching for part-time Box Office Agents to work nights and weekends.
Our ideal candidate works well under pressure, is a creative problem solver, takes initiative and pays great attention to detail and accuracy. Box office experience is preferred, but we will train the right person who has a similar retail and/or customer service background. A love of the performing arts; computer literacy; the ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of individuals and an excitement for increasing sales revenue are essential.
Candidates must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and some holidays. Responsibilities include placing ticket orders, answering and making telephone calls, performing accurate data entry, and serving as The Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s first point of contact with the general public.
Must be friendly and work well with a team
Must have strong communication skills
Must have customer service or customer service related work experience
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and should have experience with databases
